  I YEAR SKILL LAB SCHEDULE 25-26 (Phase-I)

  On April 21, 2025, Sir Isaac Newton College of Engineering and Technology organized an essay-writing competition as part of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Celebration Activity—Quarter 3, in observance of IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Celebration Week. A total of 100 students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the event, sharing their insights and perspectives on the importance of intellectual property in today’s innovation-driven world. The winners of the competition were M. Rubiya from CSE (Second Year) – First Prize, J. Jeni Merlin from AIDS (Second Year) – Second Prize, and M. Harini from AGRI (Second Year) – Third Prize.

  Our Mechanical Engineering Department has been officially recognized as a Research Department by Anna University, Chennai.

  A Proud Moment for SINCET! Another feather in the SINCET crown — our Mechanical Engineering Department has been officially recognized as a Research Department by Anna University, Chennai. This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and relentless pursuit of academic excellence by our faculty and students. Congratulations to the entire Mech Department for this remarkable achievement!

  A one-day guest lecture on Analysis of algorithms was hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in collaboration with the Computer Engineers Association RETUPMOC '5G' on March 26, 2025.

  In collaboration with the Computer Engineers Association RETUPMOC '5G', the Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a one-day internal guest lecture on Machine Learning and Deep Learning on April 07, 2025.

 A seminar titled "Say No to Drugs" was organized at Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology on March 12, 2025.

 On 11th March 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Computer Engineers Association RETUPMOC '5G, conducted a one-day workshop for the second-year CSE students. The workshop, titled “From Theory to Practice: An Algorithmic Workshop,” The event was held in the Mini Seminar Hall at Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology.

Congratulations! 10 students from Mechanical and ECE departments of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam have been successfully placed in core engineering roles at Caterpillar, Chennai through an off-campus drive held on May 16, 2025. Each student secured a salary package of ₹3.5 LPA.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, celebrated National Engineers’ Day on 15 September 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Department Computer Centre.
The program began with a warm welcome address, followed by a felicitation speech delivered by Mr. P. Navaneethakrishnan, Head of the ECE Department. Mr. P. Arivazhagan, Assistant Professor (ECE), and Dr. Kavitha, Associate Professor and Research Coordinator, graced the occasion with their inspiring words.
As part of the celebration, students actively participated in a Technical Paper Presentation and a Technical Quiz, showcasing their knowledge and innovative ideas. The event highlighted the importance of engineering excellence and encouraged students to enhance their technical and research skills.
The celebration concluded on a high note, fostering enthusiasm and professional spirit among budding engineers.

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized the Engineer's Day Function on 15.09.2025. The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. P. Malaiselvaraja, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who honoured the Chief Guest with a shawl and memento. Dr. T. Arun Kumar, Training and Placement Coordinator, highlighted the significance of Engineer's Day and the vital role of engineering in society, followed by talks from all Heads of Departments. The Chief Guest, Mr. Chidambhara Kumar, Deputy Manager (Commercial), TNSTC – Nagapattinam Region, delivered an inspiring address on the importance of Engineer's Day and engineers contributions to the transport sector. As part of the celebration, shields were presented to last academic year’s toppers, students with 100% attendance, and achievers in sports. The event witnessed the participation of around 150 students along with all Heads of Departments and faculty members, and concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. R. Ramesh, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Department, celebrated Engineers’ Day with great enthusiasm. The program began with an address to the gathering by Mrs. K. Maheshwari, HOD/AI & DS. The celebration continued with a graceful classical dance performance, followed by speech and quiz competitions that highlighted the significance of engineering and innovation.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the event coordinator, Ms. P. Sobiya, AP/AI & DS, marking the successful completion of the program.

Department of IT: K. Gunadharshini, R. Kiruthika, and A. Arunjoseph (III Year) won 2nd Prize in Paper Presentation at Savitha Engineering College, Chennai.
Department of AI&DS: T. Mohithasri and M. Amirthapoorani (III Year) secured 2nd Prize (Certificate, Cup & ₹500 Cash Reward) in Intuitive Design, while M. F. Noorul Thaslima and K. Sumaiya received Participation Certificates in Logo Design at TechFlare-2K25, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy.
