Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized an On-Campus Placement Drive for Ashok Leyland, Chennai, under the guidance of the Training and Placement Cell. The event provided a remarkable opportunity for final-year students from the Mechanical Engineering and Agricultural Engineering departments to showcase their technical and interpersonal skills
The placement drive was graced by Dr. T. Arunkumar, Placement Director, and Mr. P. Malaiselvaraja, Vice Principal, who extended a warm welcome and honored Mr. G. Vijay, Human Resources Representative from Ashok Leyland, Chennai, for his continued support and collaboration with the institution.
A total of 50 students enthusiastically participated in the multi-stage recruitment process, which included a written test, group discussion, and HR interview. Among them, 10 students were successfully selected for placement, each receiving an annual package of ₹3.0 lakhs.
Mr. G. Vijay personally handed over the offer letters to the College Chairman, Dr. T. Ananth, marking a proud moment of achievement for the institution and its students.
The entire placement drive was efficiently coordinated under the guidance of Dr. T. Arunkumar (Training and Placement Director) and Mr. P. Arivazhagan (Placement Coordinator). Their dedicated efforts, along with the continuous support from the College Management, Principal, and Director, contributed to the grand success of the recruitment event.
On-Campus Placement Drive by Delphi TVS, Chennai
The Training and Placement Cell of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, organized an On-Campus Placement Drive on 14th October 2025 for the final-year students. The recruitment team from Delphi TVS, Chennai, comprising Mr. Raj Kannan S (DGM), Mr. Purushothaman (HR Manager), and Mr. Tamilselvam (Executive – HR), conducted the placement process.
The selection procedure included multiple stages — a Pre-Placement Presentation, followed by a Technical Written Test, and Technical & HR Interviews. The drive aimed to identify skilled and industry-ready candidates from departments such as ECE, Mechanical, and Agricultural Engineering.
During the Pre-Placement Talk Ceremony, Mr. Malaiselvaraja, Vice-Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Elangovan, Registrar of Sir Issac Newton Educational Institutions, felicitated the students, encouraging them to seize the opportunity. Dr. T. Arunkumar, Placement Director, felicitated the gathering and emphasized the importance of industry interaction and placement readiness among students.
The event was well-coordinated by the department placement coordinators and the Training and Placement Cell, ensuring smooth conduct of all placement activities. The session provided an excellent platform for students to interact directly with industry experts and understand current industrial expectations.
Career Guidance Webinar Organized by SINCET – A Success Talk by Google Software Developer
The Training and Placement Cell of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, organized a Career Guidance Webinar titled “Success Talk: High Package Student Shares Experience with Juniors” on 12th October 2025 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM through Google Meet.
The resource person for the session was Mr. P. Kishore, B.E., Software Developer at Google. He shared his inspiring journey from campus to a successful placement in one of the world’s leading tech companies.
During the session, Mr. Kishore provided valuable insights on placement preparation strategies, technical interview handling, and career development tips for engineering students. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning, coding practice, and confidence building to achieve high-paying opportunities in reputed organizations.

Career Guidance Webinar – “Success Talk”
The Training and Placement Cell of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, organized an inspiring Career Guidance Webinar on 12th October 2025 through Google Meet. The session featured Mr. E. Sangeeth, B.E., Software Developer at ServiceNow, as the Resource Person.
The event, titled “Success Talk: High Package Student Shares Experience with Juniors,” aimed to guide students on career planning, placement preparation, and professional growth. Mr. Sangeeth, shared his valuable journey from campus to a successful career in the IT industry.
During his talk, he highlighted the importance of consistent skill development, coding practice, and effective communication skills for securing high-package offers. He also motivated students to utilize placement preparation platforms, participate in hackathons, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
