We are happy to announce that Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technologyfirst-year students from all branches, numbering 30, enthusiastically participated in various programs at AVC College of Engineering. Our students actively took part and presented papers in English, Mathematics, and Physics. The students of AI&ML, K. Indhusri and G. Pavithra, along with CSE students G. Sujitha, M. Mithra, K. Srivarshan, and G. Sabari, presented papers and won the second and third prizes in the event “English in Digital World: Challenges and Solutions.” Students from CSE also secured the second prize in “Advanced Materials in Nanotechnology,” while AI&DS students S. Swathi and M. Ragavi were the runners in the events “Joy Jam Spectacle” and “Inno Connect Quest.” This achievement provided an excellent platform for our students to enhance their technical knowledge and communication skills.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology proudly celebrated the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Centre of Excellence on 08.10.2025.
The Honourable Chairman, Dr. T. Ananth, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Following this, the Registrar, Director, and Vice Principal, Director T&P, IQAC and all departments Heads jointly inaugurated another Centre of Excellence.
A total of four specialized laboratories were opened under the Centre of Excellence, aimed at fostering advanced learning and innovative research.
In his address, the Chairman highlighted the significance of research activities and emphasized the institution’s commitment to achieving its next milestones in academic and industrial collaboration.
The students of Department of Science and Humanities organized the Inauguration of the Shakespeare Club on 07.10.2025 at the college auditorium. The program began with a Prayer Song by the students, followed by the Lighting of Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries.
Ms. S. Lincy (I CSE) delivered the Welcome Address, and Mr. Sai Krishnan (I AI & DS) briefed about the objectives and vision of the Shakespeare Club. The inauguration was graced by the Principal and Registrar and Placement Director, who delivered the Felicitation Addresses highlighting the importance of literary clubs in enhancing communication and creativity among students.
Club activities were presented by Mr. Karthika (I IT), and the App Inauguration and Presentation were done by Ms. Santhiya, Ms. Harshini Devi, and Ms. Nasiha (IV AI & DS). The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. J. Vignesh (I CSE) and the National Anthem.
We are happy to announce that Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology participated in the Anna University Zone XV Cricket Tournament and secured the Third Prize. The Management and Principal appreciated our College Physical Director, Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, for his support and contribution to this success.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Department of AI & DS, in association with the IPR Cell, organized a one-day workshop on Innovation Thinking and Implementing IPR on 26th September 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. G. Mahesh, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering, Saranathan College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli, who highlighted the importance of innovation, protection of intellectual property, and practical strategies for patenting ideas. The program featured a welcome address by Dr. V. Kavitha, chief guest introduction by Mrs. K. Maheshwari, a felicitation by Dr. Arunkumar, and an honouring of the chief guest by Mr. N. Raguvaran. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. B. Silambarasan. A total of 250 students and all faculty members from various departments actively participated in the event, making it a highly engaging and insightful session.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology conducted a GATE Exam Awareness and Induction Program today at the college auditorium to guide students on strategies for cracking the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
The program began with a welcome address by Mr. P. Arivazhagan, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, who highlighted the importance of early preparation for competitive examinations.
The technical session was delivered by Dr. Thiyagarajan from GATE Win, Trichy, a renowned GATE coaching expert. He shared effective preparation strategies, key subject areas, and career opportunities available through strong GATE performance, including admission to premier institutes and recruitment in top public sector undertakings.
Feedback from participating students indicated that the session enhanced their understanding of exam strategies and motivated them to begin focused preparation. A total of 200 students participated in this event.
One-Day Workshop on Innovative Thinking and Implementing IPR
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted a Training on Learning Communication Program Mr.T.Gopinath and Mr.V.Shanmugavel led the session aimed at enhancing the placement readiness of first-year Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students on 23rd September 2025. The program focused on developing essential communication skills to support students in their future career pursuits.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, successfully organized the Reconstitution of the Department Association “ARINDASCI” on 22nd September 2025. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Mrs. K. Maheshwari, Head of the Department (AI & DS), who highlighted the vision and goals of the association, followed by the introduction of the newly elected association executives who were entrusted with their responsibilities. As part of the reconstitution ceremony, the association organized its first event – an External Seminar by Ms. E. Bhavadharani, Senior Technical Trainer, Cadpoint Institute of Science and Technology, Nagapattinam, who delivered an insightful session on emerging trends and opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, inspiring students to explore innovations and strengthen their technical expertise. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. K. Gowri, Assistant Professor (AI & DS), who expressed gratitude to the management, guest speaker, faculty members, association executives, and students for their enthusiastic support and participation.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted a one-day training programme on Effective Public Speaking for the first-year BE – CSE (AI & ML) students. The trainers, Mr. V. Shanmugavel and Mr. T. Gopinath, assigned various tasks to the students and engaged them in a very active and pleasant manner. The students enthusiastically participated in all the activities and learned several valuable communication skills. This training has paved the way for the students to overcome stage fear and shyness when interacting with new people, while also helping them develop an effective and unique style of communication.

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, through its NSS Unit, organized an Anti-Drug Quiz Competition on 15.09.2025 to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The winners of the competition were K. Prasanna (I Prize, 3rd Year AIDS), T. Subasri (II Prize, 3rd Year AIDS), and Amirthaboorani (III Prize, 3rd Year AIDS). The program, which highlighted the importance of knowledge and awareness in combating drug addiction, was successfully organized by Mr. C. Sundarraj (AP/Agri) and Mr. G. Bharathikannan (AP/CSE) under the guidance of the NSS Unit.

Mohamed Faisal, HoD/CSE and Anti-Drug Club Coordinator.
Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering & Technology, Nagapattinam, through its Department of Mechanical Engineering , organized an SAE INDIA Awareness Program in the Conference Hall on September 18, 2025.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. P. Malaiselvaraja, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. T. Arunkumar, Placement Director, spoke on the importance of SAE INDIA in strengthening students’ technical skills and enhancing placement opportunities.
The chief guest and resource person, Dr. S. Beer Mohamed, Chairman of SAE India – Thanjavur Division, Dean of the School of Technology, and Head of the Department of Materials Science, Central University – Thiruvarur, delivered an insightful session highlighting the benefits of SAE INDIA membership and the scope for innovation in automotive engineering.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. B. Silambarasan, IQAC Coordinator, appreciating the efforts of the organizing team and encouraging students to participate actively in SAE INDIA activities.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted the Association Barriers 2025-2026 Introduction & Guest Lecture on Full Stack Development with AI Technologies on 17.09.2025 in the Conference Hall. The program began with a welcome address by Srimathi (II CSE), followed by the introduction and felicitation of the guests, Ms. Bhavadharani and Ms. Ranjani from CADPOINT Institute of Science and Technology, Nagapattinam, by the Head of the Department, Mr. M. Mohamed Faisal. The Association Barriers were then introduced with Arulpandi (IV Yr) as President, Vikneswari (IV Yr) as Vice President, Monish (III Yr) as Secretary, Swomiya (IV Yr) as Joint Secretary, Iswarya Ranjani (III Yr) as Treasurer, Arthi (IV Yr) as Event Coordinator, and Mohamed Yusuf (II CSE) as Magazine Coordinator. The guests delivered an insightful lecture on Full Stack Development with AI, after which the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Yugashri (II CSE). The program was successfully coordinated by Mrs. V. Dhavamani, Associate Head of the Department and Event Coordinator, with the active participation of faculty and students.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology, Nagapattinam, celebrated National Engineers’ Day on 15 September 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Department Computer Centre.
The program began with a warm welcome address, followed by a felicitation speech delivered by Mr. P. Navaneethakrishnan, Head of the ECE Department. Mr. P. Arivazhagan, Assistant Professor (ECE), and Dr. Kavitha, Associate Professor and Research Coordinator, graced the occasion with their inspiring words.

Arun Kumar, Training and Placement Coordinator, highlighted the significance of Engineer's Day and the vital role of engineering in society, followed by talks from all Heads of Departments. The Chief Guest, Mr. Chidambhara Kumar, Deputy Manager (Commercial), TNSTC – Nagapattinam Region, delivered an inspiring address on the importance of Engineer's Day and engineers contributions to the transport sector. As part of the celebration, shields were presented to last academic year’s toppers, students with 100% attendance, and achievers in sports. The event witnessed the participation of around 150 students along with all Heads of Departments and faculty members, and concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. R. Ramesh, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
